Project From Advertising Campaigns Class

This project focused on the progression of an advertisement from the idea to the finished product.

Step 1: Analyze given scenario; in this case, the client was Pearl Jam Promotions and they were prepping for Pearl Jam’s upcoming U.S. tour, and wanted to focus on increasing ticket sales. To begin thinking about what kind of advertisement I wanted to create, I first began with thumbnail sketches.

Step 2: Take thumbnail sketches and create a rough draft for the advertisement.

Step 3: I took inspiration from my rough draft and used Adobe Photoshop to create the print advertisement shown below.

Design Work from Advertising Creative Strategies Class

This is a sample web ad and social media campaign for Axemann Brewery in downtown Selinsgrove, PA. At the top is a web banner ad with the intent to promote the brewery’s happy hour event every Thursday. On the left is a medium rectangle ad and on the right is a sample social media post intended for Instagram or Facebook. The target audience is small town folks, beer enthusiasts, and small business supporters. Each of these creatives were made using Adobe Photoshop.

This is a sample billboard created for Chesapeake Conservancy; a nonprofit organization based in Annapolis, Maryland. The intent was to persuade stakeholders to donate to the conservancy so that they could continue their important conservation work. With this billboard, the objective is an emotional appeal. Especially in this time, with concerns about global warming and just general loss of wildlife and nature, this billboard appeals to those who fear a world where we [humans] have destroyed nature. This creative was made using Adobe Photoshop.

Original

Redesign

This is sample work from the Advertising Creative Strategies class I took my senior year of college. The top file is the original, I Feel Pretty, movie poster and the bottom is a redesign of the poster. The intent was to lean into the movie’s body positive message while maintaining a fun, flirty, and girly feel. The original poster did not reflect the movie to the best of its ability. This creative was made using Adobe Photoshop.

This is a brand campaign project that I completed in the Adobe Creative Suite class I took as a sophomore in college. The project was to design creatives for the fictional company, Best Friends Kennel. The top creative is a logo I designed. The middle is a business card I designed. The bottom creative is a newsletter I designed; each were made using Adobe software.

This is a newspaper front page redesign that I created in the Newspaper Editing class I took sophomore year of college. This was made using Adobe Indesign.
