Media Intern at the PA Farm Show
Employed by the PA Department of Agriculture, I worked as a media intern for the Pennsylvania Farm Show. My internship included documenting events by taking pictures, writing detailed captions, and recording winners of competitions. All of this information was then uploaded to a Flickr album that is available to the public and used by media personnel to write news stories. As an intern, I was also contributing to creative content that was being posted on the Farm Show’s social media accounts, which brings a lot of people to our events. Additionally, I was tasked with writing spotlights, titled #FacesOfAgriculture, on those participating at the Farm Show, whether this be through tabling, running events, or competing in animal showmanship competitions.

Social Media Content

This internship provided hands-on experience with event coordination. Specifically, as the head of the marketing and communications group, I focused on promotion. Whether this be through social media or reaching out to the university’s media outlets to gain coverage of our event.
