My Hiking Adventures in the U.S.

Acadia Park, Maine

My family (which includes my mother, father, and sister) traveled to Bar Harbor Maine, in July of 2021. During our vacation, we hiked various trails at Acadia National Park.

In the summer of 2022, my family traveled to Sedona, Arizona and hiked both in Sedona and at the Grand Canyon.

We hiked in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

Specifically, the sunset views from Clingmans Dome were spectacularly beautiful!

Finally, this summer my family traveled to Glacier National Park in Montana.

Overall, my favorite hiking vacation was Glacier National Park in Montana. My family and I saw so much wildlife (as evident from the videos within this post) as well as hiked to hidden lakes, went white water rafting, and saw some unbelievable views. Not to mention that Montana is the most beautiful and peaceful state that I have ever been to. The land is so lush with color, most of our hikes were blooming with moss and flowers from all of the water that flows from the glaciers at the top of the mountains. The water is so crystal clear and ridiculously refreshing to swim in, albeit extremely cold. But ice baths are all the rage nowadays anyways.

I’d have to say that my second favorite vacation was to the Smoky Mountains. The view from the highest peak within the mountains was something like out of a movie. The mist flowing over the tops of the trees, bringing the setting sun in and out of view is something I will never forget. I also had the privilege of seeing some wildlife in Tennessee as well, much unlike my family’s vacations in Maine and Arizona (although I would’ve died if I saw a scorpion).

There are many perks to being in a family that for vacation, prioritizes breathtaking views and traveling for hiking, yet I do not remember the last time I was at the beach. But that is the only downside, mark my words!
